Asphalt paving in Dublin means working across a surprising range of ground for a suburb. Wikipedia puts the city's elevation at about 780 feet where the Scioto River leaves town and about 1,000 feet at Glacier Ridge Metro Park, a spread of roughly 220 feet inside one city. The Scioto and its tributaries have cut deep gorges through limestone bedrock here, and some of those tributaries have waterfalls. We set a slight crown or cross slope on new work so water moves off in one direction, and on resurfacing jobs we can correct shallow low spots with the new layer.
